This commercial project in Minnetonka, MN, focused on enhancing water management and structural protection for multi-unit apartment buildings. Our team expertly installed new 6-inch seamless gutters, carefully chosen for their high-capacity water handling to support the larger roof surfaces of multi-unit structures.

Since the original buildings lacked gutters, we began by removing the sider’s edge to allow for proper installation and ensure a seamless fit with the new gutter system. Next, we installed L flashing—a critical addition to prevent water from flowing under the shingles and fascia, which can lead to costly water damage and compromised structural integrity over time. By directing water into the gutter system, the L flashing provides an additional layer of protection for the roofline and fascia.

To further optimize the gutter system’s functionality and minimize maintenance, we added leaf covers across all gutters. These covers prevent debris accumulation, ensuring smooth water flow even during heavy rains and reducing the risk of clogs and overflow. This feature is particularly valuable for multi-unit buildings where routine gutter maintenance can be challenging to manage and costly to perform frequently.

The combined enhancements provided by the seamless gutters, L flashing, and leaf covers significantly improve water management, reduce maintenance needs, and extend the lifespan of the buildings.
